Nanny Fox by Georgie Adams and Selina Young is a great read for both boys and girls aged 6-8 years. Arnold is a young fox who doesn't like eating chickens. He just wants to be friends with them and not follow tradition like his mother and father, he would rather eat peanut butter sandwiches than a chicken leg. Arnold decides to leave home and gets a job as nanny to Mrs Buff Orpington's six little chickens.

Nanny Fox is a great book for kids. Its good to see Arnold the Fox being friends with the chickens rather than eating them! Arnold does what he thinks is best and that's a good thing for Mrs Buff Orpington and her chicks as they don't have to worry about being eaten from at least one fox! The illustrations are great, very detailed and colourful and kids will like looking at the pictures as they read along.

A fun read!
