I would have to say that my fav scary read would still be the Goosebump series! Classic! but if it has to be up to date, it would be Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children by Ransom Riggs **chills** scary stories with kids are always scary..

Hmm well when I was a kid it was scary, probably not so much now but it's called The Babysitter IV by R.L Stine. I have read it about 50 times and it still scared me!! LOL

I don't really have a favourite scary read. Among my favourites are the older Dean Koontz ones. I love Koontz because his books involve a psychopath who likes to play psychological games which is much scarier than horror in my opinion because it's more frightening to read something that *could* happen than something you know *cannot* happen.
