Calling all bloggers and authors: Childrens Book Event in September

HELP ME CELEBRATE CHILDRENS BOOKS!

I know many of you reading this post are YA authors or bloggers like myself. However we all started of reading somewhere and that was children's books. To celebrate childrens books I have come up with an event running in September and need your help!

What I am doing is having a whole month celebrating children's books, with author interviews, giveaways, guest posts and reviews. The children's books will go from 0-11 with fairytales included as well as children's classics, celebrating children's authors such as Enid Blyton, Roald Dahl and Jacalinque Wilson to name a few. I will also be having interviews with children's illustrators as well so a fun event all in. I am doing it to help promote and encourage younger children to read as I loved reading when I was younger as I do now!

What I am asking bloggers and authors is to answer five questions that will be posted over the month! You can either send me the answers as part of posts over the week that I will be posting on my blog (Your comment will come with a link to your blog or website) or you can post the questions and answers on a blog post on your blog over each week. If you are going to post on your blog, can you please let me know so I can tell the dates for each week for example you can post about the first topic anytime between September 1st-9th and so forth! Thank you for your time and I hope you can help! The questions are below!
  • The first post will be in week one focusing on these questions:
What is your first memory of reading as a child?
Do you have memories of your parents reading bedtime stories to you, do you think this is important for children to have their parents read to them?
  • The second post will be in week two focusing on this question:
What was your favourite book as a child and why?
  • The third week will focus on this question:
What is was your favourite fairytale or classic book as a child?
  • And finally in the last week the question will be:
Why do you think children should be encouraged to read? What is the importance of reading for young children?

If you are interested please comment below and leave an contact email address so I can email you to ask about posting on your blog or answering the questions prior to the event for me.
