Top Ten Tuesday: 10 Books I Meant To Read in 2017 But Didn't Get To

Top Ten Tuesday is an original/weekly meme hosted by The broke and the bookish.

This weeks topic is:  Ten Books We Meant To Read In 2017 But Didn't Get To (and totallyyyy plan to get to in 2018!!)

In 2017 it was the year of adult reads for me and my YA reads got put on the back burner, however there was some really great YA books I wanted to get to but just didn't. Below is a list of those books as well as an adult book thrown in for good measure.

By Your Side by Kasie West- YA Contemporary Romance

Letters To The Lost by Brigid Kemmerer- YA Contemporary Romance

What 2017 read didn't you get to but want to?

  1. Letters to the Lost has been recommended to me by so many people. I read a few chapters of Geekerella when it first came out, but I wasn`t into it at the moment. Maybe I`ll have better luck in the summer.

  4. Although it wasn't on my 2017 TBR, I'd like to read Geekarella, and recently bought it for Kindle (on sale.)

  6. I read a few less YA last year too, although a few good ones snuck in. :) I see London, I See France sounds fun, and so does Here We Are Now.

  9. You should drop everything and read Letters to the Lost! It's my favorite book by Brigid Kemmerer and that's saying a lot from someone who's not a huge fan usually of contemporary YA. It is brilliant!

A 2017 read I didn't get around to is Feversong by Karen Marie Moning. I don't even know why... :(

  12. I happend to have read 7 of the books from your list. Geekerella was such a standout. If you are looking for fun, look no further than that book. Letters to the Lost was ah-mazing! I really liked Abelard and Lily. Lily was a great character. I always like a Kasie West book, and I did find By Your Side charming. The Name They Gave Us was fabulous too! A List of Cages made my list. I am angry at myself for letting it slip through the cracks, by it's going to happen.

  16. I read A List of Cages last year and it broke my heart. So, so powerful. I still think about it. By Your Side was cute but not my favorite by West. And Letters to the Lost was so very good. I kept meaning to read Alex, Approximately last year and it never happened. Same with Autoboyography and The Gentleman’s Guide to Vice & Virtue.
