In my mailbox is a weekly meme hosted by The Story Siren were everyone puts up the books they have bought, received or got from the library!
Hey everyone! This IMM is two weeks worth of great books I bought and received. I got one book from the library, I bought six books and I received one book for review and one awesome book that I won.
So, first of from the library I picked up Shade by Jeri-Smith Ready:
I have had Shade on my TRL for ages and decided to pick it up as Jeri kindly sent me some awesome swag to giveaway to you guys. So I wanted to read Shade first and do a swag giveaway with my review. I am currently reading Shade and so far I like it. My review and swag giveaway should be up sometime in October.
Over the last two weeks I bought some awesome books. I was trying not to buy too many books but failed as always he he. So here is what I bought:
I was so excited to buy this book. Its the Sookie Stackhouse companion. I love the Sookie Stackhouse novels by one of my favourite authors Charlene Harris, and this is a companion for the series. It has a new novella in it which I have read and it is awesome! Also it has exclusive interviews with Charlene and Alan Ball the creator of True Blood along with more exclusive extras. I am in the middle of reading it and love all the back story etc that we didn't know! A must buy for all Sookie Stackhouse fans!
I managed to pick up two Sophie McKenzie books for £7, a bargain to me as one was paperback and the other hardback and Sister, Missing has just been released! These books sound really good about a girl who discovers her baby picture on a missing children's website. It sounds a little like Abduction, the movie just released starring Taylor Lautner. Can't wait to read these books!
I am really into Zombie style books at the moment. This is Kirsty's debut novel. Undead is a about a school trip from hell. New girl, Bobby and Bad Boy Smitty stay on the coach while their friends and teachers get of to go to a cafe. However there friends are gone a while and when they return something has happened, something bad. Time to get a life...
One Day has just been released as a movie and I really want to see the movie but decided to to buy the book and read it as first!
I love The Chronicles of Narnia and have seen and own all the movies but I have never read the books. So I am starting to collect the series and managed to get Prince Caspian for £1.
I received The Near Witch from Ashley @ Ashleys book shelf. I have wanted to read this book ever since I heard about it. I love the cover!

Undead has made me curious - I am in a dystopian/zombie phase at the moment and this sounds right up my alley! Great mailbox!

I love the book, One Day! I did still enjoy the movie, but it wasn't nearly as good as the book.
