Grew up in the Pacific Northwest. All that rain makes for lots of reading and atmospheric moodiness that simply must be translated into writing :) Some of my favourite authors are Edith Wharton, Tracy Chevalier, Marion Chesney, Stella Gibbons, and Jane Austen.

Writing

Like most writers, I started out as an avid reader (I had my own shelf in my school library) and one day thought 'Hey, I'm gonna write one myself!' Then I found out how hard it was! Ouch!

Kiss Me, I'm Irish (Time For Love #1)The Book: Kiss me I'm Irish (Time for love #1)

Emily Musgrave is heading a direction she never wanted to go in Regency England--namely a convent to turn her from her waywardness. But it's more loneliness than rebellion that motivates her to escape her certain fate.

Liam Jackson is going nowhere fast in modern-day Tennessee. Playing his Dobro in seedy bars and backward dives along with his fiddling sister, Tinker, is doing nothing for his music career--and even less for the dark places in his soul.

Pixie mischief can not only change time-lines, it can change hearts. Because sometimes a girl just needs a little magic in her life

.

Can you describe your female protagonist Emily in less than 140 characters?

Sounds suspiciously Twitterish ;) Runaway regency girl is fairy-led to modern day Memphis where she meets the moody guitarist Liam and his fiddling sister, Tinker.

When can we expect more in the Time for Love series?

I'm working hard on Book Two--Kiss Me, I'm Yours where a recently cuckholded modern girl time-travels to the early post-Civil War era and meets a man who has nothing left to believe in. I'm hoping to have it released by the end of June at the latest.

Where Kiss Me, I'm Irish is time-travel, forward, and Kiss Me, I'm Yours will be time-travel backwards, Book Three--Kiss Me, I'm Home, will be time-travel sideways...

If you could encourage anyone to pick up Kiss me I'm Irish what would you say?

If you enjoy fun, sweet romance with a little bit of magic--and a cutie Irishman--you might like Kiss Me, I'm Irish :)

Bookie Questions:

Favourite genre and why?

For the longest time, my favorite genre was Regency--I figure I've read over 1,000 of them! I obviously love historicals and classics of all kinds as well, but for pure, fiction-reading fun I love time-travel most of all, which is why most of my own books have some element of that threaded throughout. In the past few years, I've picked up YA books and have been hooked on those as well, especially when a budding adult finds out some old family secret or a new unrealized strength in themselves, whether magical or not

Favourite YA author and why?

I love Claudia Gray and her vampire Evernight series (haven't read Fated yet) because she has the ability to quickly draw in a reader to believe a fantastical world, then give a little twist or two that keeps the readers guessing. Some other new authors I've enjoyed recently are
Shonna Wright, Alexandra Adornetto, and Megan Thomason

Debut author/ upcoming author we should check out:

Shonna Wright. I enjoy her writing because in her story
Synthetic: The Rise of the Siren, she went outside of the box, which takes guts. The story is crazy but I couldn't put it down, and I look forward to more of her stories.

Favourite 2012 read and why?

Not really YA, more New Adult but I LOVE the darkly magical New Orlean books by Nancy Duplechain. Dark Bayou and Dark Carnival were amazing and has had me harassing the author to get her third book finished and released
