The Sunday Post was created by Caffeniated Book Reviewerthis is a post where we recap on the going on's on the blog the week previous and the week coming up as well as the awesome books we have received, bought or been gifted for review!
Goodbye sun, see you next year ...
The good weather in the UK has gone. And it's back to rain and more rain. I feel like the nice weather we got just recently is our summer and we probably won't see the sun till next year. Thanks good old British weather. Enough about the weather....
I have a long weekend off work, love bank holidays, which is a plus and I have some amazing books to read. I am currently reading Undertow by Michael Buckley and its very good. I really should have finished it by now however while charging my kindle I picked up another book to keep me going. And I didn't want to start a new book so I picked up 50 Shades of grey again. And now I can't stop reading it. This happens to me every so often, usually every few months where I 're read a series I loved previously. I was on such a roll with my netgalley books and now am off track which I am annoyed about but I can't help myself. Anyone else suffer this problem?
Meanwhile on the blog....
This week I had some reviews up on the blog. I seem to be on a roll with at least two reviews on the blog every week, as am reading ahead but I know reading said distraction above, this is going to go down the drain. This weeks reviews where of What Remains by Helene Dunbar, you can check out my review here the book actually releases this week and its one I highly recommend. I also reviewed The Infinite Sea (The 5th Wave #2) by Rick Yancey, you can check out my review here if you haven't read this series you need to. I didn't realise I was going to love it so much. All the emotions!
I also did a book tag this week which I loved doing. I love doing fun book related things on the blog that aren't reviews or blog tours. The tag is called The Help Me Tag and you have to pick characters from books to help you in certain situations, it was really fun to do. You can check it out here if you do it send me a link on Twitter so I can check it out, my Twitter handler is @teamwolf1988. If you have suggestions of other tags I would love to check them out.
Now for the books...
EBooks

To be honest I can't remember requesting this but I must have. It was released in 2014 VIA Random House UK. It's sounds good though.

Ty to Kensington books. This releases June 30th. I love this cover.
It's a YA contemporary romance and I think it sounds pretty good.
(Netgalley)
This was a 2014 Release and its up on netgalley again because the second book is released in the summer. I love Kelly's writing but haven't read this book yet, so managed to get it on netgalley. Ty Spencer Hill Press

Ty Simon and Schuster UK. I found this book though Zoe Sugg's videos AKA Zoella. Amy is Zoe's editor and they where talking about her book in a video. When I checked the book out it sounded pretty awesome and I love the cover. So many pretty covers!
Bought:
While food shopping a few books managed to fall in my shopping trolley :)
Let me know how your week was in the comments below. Did you get any great books?
I thought I was the only one who didn't remember requesting stuff! I sometimes have to go back over emails when hard copy books arrive to check if I requested it or not (cos then I feel an obligation to read and review!).
ReplyDeleteI like the look of some of your reads and hope you have a good week.
Sounds like you had a pretty good book week. The arcs sound particularly awesome. Enjoy them :)
ReplyDeleteFaking Perfect looks good, you have a nice haul this week. I have never read the Fifty Shades books and cannot believe the movie is out on DVD already.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your new books! I have the same problem with books somehow finding their way into my purchase stack...LOL. But I try not to do it often, as my purging has reminded me not to overload those shelves again.
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting my blog, and have a great week.
I loved both the books you bought - they were so good! I think Faking Perfect looks really good and can't wait to see what you think of it - Have a wonderful week!
ReplyDeleteOh come on, you are being too tough on the British Isles weather - it will shine again! Looks like you had a good reading week, I read romance but usually older characters because I'm old!
ReplyDeleteSorry about the cool weather. Our Spring has just arrived. I enjoyed Love Letters to the Dead, hope you do as well. Have a great week.
ReplyDeleteOhh I am glad you are liking Undertow! I have been so curious about it. The Help Me tag sounds so fun too! And I loved To all the Boys, so I hope you do too! Hope you have a fabulous week, and that the weather reverts back to spring ;)

Come back sun, I miss you! And I hope that wasn't our summer! And lol the book buying while grocery shopping happens me too. Love the look of Faking Perfect, I'll be interested to see what that one is like.
ReplyDeleteWe've been having wonderful weather lately here, although there are quite a few chances for rain this week it seems. I need to read Love Letters to the Dead. Great haul! Thanks for stopping by my Sunday Post earlier.
ReplyDeleteNice haul! I haven't read any of these - also still haven't read The 5th Wave even though I want to, oops, but I bought The Infinite Sea for my friends birthday. I love the cover for Faking Perfect, too!
ReplyDeleteI want to read all of your new books! LOL Dying to start on Undertow but I did like you and picked up a previously read book and got all wrapped up in the series again. LOL That's why I love print books.
