Top Ten Bookworm Delights

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme created by Broke and Bookish

This weeks TopicTop Ten Bookworm Delights

Books in general give me delight but here's 10 of my book worm delights.

1) The excitement of interacting with an author you love on social media.

I don't get the chance to meet many authors as in Northern Ireland there's isn't many bookish events or signings. So to be able to interact with some of my most favourite authors on Twitter is a delight. To have that author read your review of their book is scary but it's also exciting. To have an author follow you just excites me as much as if a famous actor followed me *it's the small things in life*

2) Beautiful book covers

I appreciate beautiful book covers and are a delight to put on my book shelf so I can stare at them all day long. *Book cover envy*

3) When an author I love announces a new book release

This is me when an author I love announces a new book.

4) Getting all the feels

Reading a book that gives me so many feels whether it's excitement or crying I love it. The feels guys, I love the feels.

5) Finding a book at a bargain price

I love findings a great book bargain but finding books in amazing condition in a charity shop at such a cheap price *and your helping charity* is awesome. Am looking at you Bloodlines Series by Richelle Mead!

6) Collecting different editions of your favourite books

You just don't need one set of your favourite book series. You need them in hardback, paperback, UK editions, U.S. editions and any editions you can find it in. * All Souls Trilogy by Deborah Harkness for life*

7) Being aggressively ... I mean encouraging a person to read a book you love.

Stopping a stranger in a book shop who's looking at a book you love and telling them it's amazing and they must buy it and read it like now. * I'm sorry* All The Bright Places *READ IT*

8) Having the honour to read a book before it releases

....and knowing everyone's going to love it and you can't wait for everyone to read it....the feels.

9) Bookish merchandise

It's just everything. That is all

10) Being able to interact with book lovers from around the world.

I just love the book community and I love being able to talk about my love of books from all the way in the UK to the U.S. to Australia and beyond!!

That is some of my book worm delights. Let me know some of yours in the comments below.

It's time for a book tag... Readers Confession Book Tag!!

I love a tag. A confessional tag is even better, this is an old tag but a good one. This tag was created by Bookables.

1) Have you damaged your own book?

Yes I have and it was a terrible day. It started of as an amazing day, it was a rare day in Northern Ireland we had a lot of snow and I took my new copy of City Of Heavenly Fire by Cassandra Clare with me to work to read on the bus. The copy I has was massive and heavy so I put it in a cloth book bag to protect it. Said book bag didn't Protect it. I sat the book in the bag on the floor of the wet and mushy floor of the bus *it was snowing you remember and the bus was currently packed so I couldn't read.* Yea so.. the book bag got wet the book got  wet and the cover peeled of the spine and the book fell apart. **rest in peace**

2.Have you ever damaged a borrowed book?

I have done something worse than that. I have actually lost a library book. **Oops** I did actually find it but years later when I was moving house.

3. How long does it take you to read a book?

I'm quite a slow reader. If I am really into the book and loving it I would say two days but if it's dragging or is jus a massive book anywhere from 3-5 days.

4. Books I haven't finished?

I don't tend to DNF a lot of books. A few that I haven't finished have been mostly middle grade ones. I thought I could read any books for young or old but I struggle with middle grade.

5. Hype/ popular books you don't like?

*please don't this rotten tomatoes at me* I don't  like The Hunger Games or Divergent.

6.Classics you didn't enjoy?

I don't read many classics the one I read for School that I didn't like was Macbeth and I think it's because it was a school book.

7.Books you bought to look smart?

I wouldn't say it was to look smart but maybe so I looked like I didn't just read YA. I brought Game Of Thrones and several classics that have just sat there. I also have brought books everyone was talking about just because I didn't want to feel left out even though I was probably never going to read them. *I'm looking at you John Green Books.*

8.Books you haven't given back?

From above that one library book. And I actually have a few books belonging to a friend that I 're found a while ago and are still sitting in my cupboard to return.

Leave me some of your bookish confessions in the comments below.

One class assignment. One second chance at love. The school player is all in. Now he needs to win back the sweet commitment girl who’s forever owned his heart.

Justin Carter has a secret. He’s not the total player Fairfield Academy believes him to be. Not really. In fact, he used to be a one-woman guy…and his feelings for her never went away. Too bad he broke her heart three years ago and made sure to ruin any chance she’d ever forgive him.

Peyton Williams is a liar. She pretends to be whole, counting down the days until graduation and helping her parents at the family ranch. But the truth is, she’s done everything she can to get over Justin, and salvation is just around the corner. With graduation one short month away, she’ll soon break free from the painful memories and start her life fresh. Of course, she has to get through working with him on one last assignment first.

For Justin, nothing ever felt as right as being with Peyton, and now that fate’s given him a shot at redemption, he’s determined to make the most of it. And for Peyton…well, Justin Carter has always been her kryptonite.

A musical laugh sprang free, her happy smile trailing behind, and I was in heaven. “Until you,” she agreed. She squinted one eye and added, “Though you should know, I’m probably gonna be really, really bad at it.”

The expression on her face said she honestly believed it, and I couldn’t wait to prove her wrong. I leaned close to her ear and whispered across her skin, “That’s impossible.”

Peyton’s breath caught in a gasp, and I angled back to see her face.

That’s when the moment changed.
Sounds of the emptying baseball field fell away. The cool air around us kindled. The soft smile on her face faded as she looked into my eyes, shifting her gaze between them to see what I’d do next. Part of me wondered the same thing.

I’d kissed dozens of girls before. Some I wanted, others purely because I was bored. But I’d never felt anything like this. Anticipation. Want. Fear. Unlike any other kiss I’d ever shared, this one needed to be epic. Girls remembered their first kiss for the rest of their lives, and I had to leave Peyton with something good to cling to later… when I inevitably screwed everything up.
Gauging her reaction, I slowly lowered my head and watched her soft lips part. Adrenaline surged through my veins at the swipe of her tongue. She nodded once, silently giving me permission, then closed her eyes.

Inhaling the scent of sunflowers, I kissed her.
Soft and sweet. Those two words defined this girl. She tasted like sugar and her sigh was addictive as I brushed her mouth with mine. Again and again. I couldn’t get enough. Her hands clenched my wrists, tugging me closer. I could’ve lived in that moment forever.

My restless hands memorized the curve of Peyton’s spine, the dip of her waist. Hers slid down my arms and around my back, fisting my shirt before slipping underneath. A jolt of electricity ran over my skin. When her nails raked down my spine, I jerked and groaned into her mouth. She was a fast learner.

I kissed the corners of her triumphant smile, licked the bow of her top lip, and nipped at the bottom one. She sighed again and sank in my arms, matching me kiss for kiss, playful tug for playful tug. And still, I needed more. I’d probably always need more.

Tilting my head for better access, I grazed her cheeks with my fingertips. Traced the seam of her mouth with my tongue, silently asking for what I wanted. Hoping like hell she’d open up. Her answer was one shy flick. The shiver reached my toes.

No girl had gotten to me like this. Burrowed under my skin, held my interest, or had me thinking about tomorrow. Wishing I could be that guy. I lost myself in the strawberry taste of Peyton’s mouth, the sweet sounds in her throat, and I didn’t fully emerge until hours later. When I did, it was with one thought circling my brain:

How long until I mess this up?

But Camille is determined to have a life free from his strings. Out on her own, she's made mistakes, including one that found her clawing her way back after a stint in rehab and plenty of bad press. Women and Jake don't mix well, yet protecting the heiress seems the lesser of two evils. But Jake soon discovers that she isn't the woman she's perceived to be. She's warm, compassionate, her presence settling, and his duty to protect her soon goes deeper than a well-paid job, no matter how hard he fights it. He needs absolution. He comes to need Camille. —School Library Journal

For a select group of girls, the Glittering Court offers a shot at a life
they’ve only ever dreamed of, one of luxury, glamour, and leisure. To high-born Adelaide, whose wealthy family is forcing her into a loveless marriage, the Glittering Court represents something else: the chance to chart he own destiny, and adventure in an unspoiled, prosperous new land across the sea.

After a chance meeting with the dazzling Cedric Thorn, Adelaide poses as a servant to join the crop of impoverished girls he promises to transform into proper ladies. But her familiarity with upper class life comes with a price: she must hide her identity from her new friends, mysterious refugee Mira and fiery former laundress Tamsin, and most importantly, from Cedric himself—even though she’s falling in love with him.

Everything begins to crumble when Cedric discovers Adelaide’s ruse, and she catches the eye of a powerful young governor, who wants her for a wife. She didn’t leave the gilded cage of her old life behind just to become someone else's property.
