  1. I can't wait to read what you think of the Mortal instruments, I haven't read the series yet, I haven't seen the movie yet (I will this afternoon ?...), but I long to get there. The 50SOG novel didn't impress me (I know it did others), so I don't know much what to think of the upcoming movie, I'd love to hear your opinion about it. Have a great week !

  3. I can't wait to see your review on The Mortal Instruments, I stopped reading after City of Bones and I am still wondering if I should continue.

I didn't like 50 Shades of Grey, I DNF it. It read more like a fan fiction than a book, there was a lack of a proper storyline. Also, I hated the female in the book. Hope you enjoy it more!

I hope you feel better soon! :) New follower here!

  4. I've only read the first of the Mortal Instruments. I started the second but had trouble getting into for some reason. :/ Maybe because I saw the movie? It was a good movie, and I enjoyed it ... But something didn't sit right.

I've skimmed the first 50 Shades. Haven't read the others :/

I've actually read Jenny Pox. It was interesting; I'd be very curious to see what you think about it once you've finished!

  5. I can't believe you haven't read 50 Shades! I didn't think the book was all that. I read a lot of erotica and have read better. I love that this book made people want to spice up their sex lives. I am all for that (notice my avi with the collar). I think the book did have some good points but it also made it sound like BDSM only happens for people when they are damaged. It got people talking anyways.
I will probably see the movie when it comes out on dvd. I rarely see movies in theaters anymore.

  6. I bought Alienated as a $1.99 ebook deal because a couple of my blogging buddies loved it. I will have to come back for the "overly hyped" books post because the carnival barking of books on Twitter really bothers me. Still steering clear of 50 Shades. Faye from The Social Potato reads excerpts in video blogs and I can tell it is not my cup of tea. I will come back and peruse your book reviews. Sorry you were sick also. I lucked out on not missing work because the temperatures were beastly here this week and my boss let me work from home. Have a fab week!

  7. Sorry you've been sick, but it sounds like it gave you some extra time to read. (Don't you sometimes wish you could take a sick day when you're healthy - just to read?)

It's so hard to stay away from those one-click freebies and bargains! Looks like you got some good ones - I hope you enjoy them!

  9. I'm so excited to read Invaded and When (too bad you didn't like this one)!
I'm still behind on The Mortal Instruments - I keep having doubts about finishing it.
I also read the first two 50 shades books, and all I have to say about them is that they are really boring. I only read it to see what all the hype was about. But yeah, despite all the abuse issues, it's just plain boring.

  10. Hope you're feeling better! I actually really enjoyed 50 Shades - it's not a writing masterpeice, but the story is really enjoyable and I'm looking forward to the movie. From what I've read, the prescreening have gone really well. I hope you enjoy it. I'm off to check out your interview with Melissa Landers :) Have a great week!

Hope you enjoy 50 shades..it's not my thing and the movie reminds me to much of Twilight..I can hear Edward and Bella every time I hear them speak...ugh..was not a fan..lol. It's also not my type of read. :( Have fun!!
