Sunday Post #26- The slump is over

The Sunday Post was created by Kimberly @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer this is a post where we recap on the going on's on the blog the previous week and the week coming up as well as the awesome books we have received, brought or been gifted for review.

For the last few weeks I have had a blog/ reading slump and its now officially over. I have found having a written down schedule for my blog is helping and I seem to be following it. Next month I will have a good mix of reviews, memes, fun posts and blog tours. To have everything set out on paper is going to really help me. As for the reading slump it's finally over. It was more of a addicted to a series that I couldn't stop reading but finally I have moved on and reading Velvet by  Temple West got me out of it. Thank you Temple West.

On the blog the pass week:

Mon 21st- Interview with the creator of Chapter Con Katie M John (An exciting YA/NA Convention in London in 2017)

Coming this week

Mon 28th- Review: This Man Confessed (This Man #2) by Jodi Ellen Malpas (Adult Read)

Tues 29th- Top Ten Tuesday- "read- a likes"
Cover Reveal: Infected (Pods #2) by Michelle Pickett

Wed 30th- Waiting On Wednesday

Thurs 1st- Review- No Kissing Allowed by Melissa West

Fri 2nd- A-Z Book Survey

This weeks books

Firsts is a 2016 Debut which I got on Netgalley. It has an interesting concept. Merry Mary is for a blog tour in November.

This was a bargain find. I found books 2, 3 & 5 of The Bloodlines series by Richelle Mead in a charity shop for £1.50 each and they are in amazing condition they look like they have only been read once if that.

How has your week been? Let me know in the comments below.

  3. Yay for the slump being over! I'm a big believer in schedules as well though every once in awhile I get myself in trouble for being too regimented. Great books this week! I'm curious about the Ashley Farley book. I read a previous book by her that I really enjoyed. Have a great week!

  4. Nothing wrong with an addiction to reading a series, it's good to find one that makes you feel that way! But good to hear your slump is gone! I know scheduling sounds boring but I'd be lost if I didn't use one to help me plan ahead. Hope you enjoy your new books - Firsts looks good and I enjoyed an Ashley Farley book that I read earlier this week.

  7. Firsts has been getting lots of great reviews. I might check it out on NetGalley if it's still on there!

  9. I hate reading slumps. Reading Slumps happen and normally not at a good time. Love getting books at bargain prices. Great stack. Have a lovely weekend.

  10. I know planning does help! I do some planning out on my Google calendar and that helps me stay on track and remember what ARCs I need to read and review. Hope the new plan continues to work really well for you.

  11. I need to get more organized with blog posts. Of course, I'd rather read than write reviews!! However, I'm signing up for the October Blog Ahead and hoping to finishing October with 2 posts per week already written for November and December -- a total of 8 pre-written and scheduled posts.

Nice find in the charity shop. When I visit England, I like browsing the charity shops for inexpensive books. I found an Oxfam bookstore in Winchester about 15 years ago -- all books! (There was another Oxfam store in the city with all the other stuff in it.) I don't know if it's still there -- perhaps I'll hunt for it the next time I'm in the UK.

  12. Oooh! I have This Man on my shelf but haven't had the chance to pick it up yet! I was afraid that it will be the "same old same old" kind of book where I would roll my eyes at the cliche content, but I'm having a higher hopes for it now after reading your review!

I'm glad your reading slump is over! I had been in it for a couple of months too :/ Thank you for stopping by my blog!!
