2018 Bookish Resolutions & Discussion Challenge

Today I am here with my 2018 Bookish Resolutions and I only have a few as I am the type of person who finds it really hard to stick to my goals as it puts a pressure on me and takes away from my fun and love of reading. However I do have some I would like to achieve in 2018. Let's see how I go!

1) Goodreads Challenge

Each year I take part in the Goodreads Challenge and this year is know different. My target this year is to read 80 books. Last year I had a target of 100, then half way through the year I lowered it to 80 books, and still didn't hit it, only reading 72 books. Last year was the only year in the last few years I have read alot less than I was happy with, this year I WILL hit my 80 books read mark!

2) Keep a bookish bullet journal

This year I want to keep a physical bookish bullet journal. I love keeping track on Goodreads however I thought I physical copy with other bookish content would be fun. I have already started it and will have a video up next week showing you how I am going about my bookish bullet journal.

3) Read 10 books on my physical TBR pile

This is a very low number but I know setting a bigger target is unrealistic for me. So I am going pick 10 books of my shelf that I really want to read and try my hardest to get though them this year. You can check out my list here

4) Visit more blogs

I love watching booktube and checking out blogs but I always seem to watch more than visit blogs so this year I want to make sure I check out all the blogs I love more regularly and show them some love. A way I am going to tackle this is I have downloaded the bloglovin app on my phone so I can keep up with blogs I am subbed to. If you want to keep up to date with all my posts you can follow me on bloglovin here

5) Take part in the 2018 Book Blog Discussion Challenge

The 2018 Book Blog Discussion Challenge is hosted by Nicole @ Feed Your Fiction Addiction and Shannon @ It Starts at Midnight"This challenge is to help get us discussing books and book blogging, so talk about whatever you want as long as it’s relevant to book blogging. Discussions can be book related or book blogging related (or generally blogging related—no discussions about things that are completely off-topic like travel or fashion, etc). Discussions can also be about you personally if it’s a get-to-know-you type post." If you want to take part you can sign up here  You do set a target of how many discussion posts you want to have this year and my target is 11-20 which makes me Creative Conversationalist.

6) Be more consistent on Instagram

I love taking bookstagram photos and this year I want to make it more consistent uploading each day if I can. Fingers crossed! I currently have a giveaway happening over on my account where you can win a book of your choice. Check it out here

What are some of your bookish resolutions for 2018?

  1. Great resolutions for the year! Some of my goals are to read more audio books and read the entire Harry Potter series for the first time.

    1. I hope you achieve your goals. I haven't read the Harry Potter series in a while a 're read on the cards might be good.

  2. I have quite a few bookish resolutions but the one I really hope to be able to do is re-read a Artemis Fowl book every month and maybe a couple of other books by Eoin Colfer as well if I have time. :3

  3. Great goals. I have so many books on my shelves that I need to read, so I can't make a set list but I DO hope to read as many of those as possible! I'm also doing a bookish bullet journal! I'm talking about it more tomorrow on the blog.

  4. Sounds like you have set some great goals. Setting your reading goal for the year to 80 books sounds more realistic- and if you get on a roll you can always pass it and that would feel good. :)

I am going to try to be better on Instagram. I barely post there. I think if I could do it from the computer I would be at least a little better. My goal is to try to post once a week. We shall see. :)

Wishing you the best of luck with all your goals.
