Sunday Post #27- An Indian Summer

The Sunday Post was created by Kimberly @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer this is a post where we recap the going on's on the blog the previous week and the week coming up as well as the awesome books we have received for review, brought or been gifted.

We have been having some crazy weather here in the UK. Usually where I live in Northern Ireland all we ever get is rain, even in the summer, we had like a week of good weather all summer. It's freaking October and we are now getting an Indian Summer. Every morning when am going to work it's so cold and there is dense fog everywhere then by the time am leaving work it's like a bloody sauna. I am hoping it doesn't continue long. Am a real grump, I hate it being too warm or too cold.

On a better front my blog schedule is working out really well am getting all the posts I want done, up. Go me! Next week is a busy week on the blog but it's a fun one. So what happened this week you ask:

  2. Snap with the weather, I don't mind it though, I love heat!

My Life Next Door is one I have seen around for a long time (on US blogs) and I'd like to read it. It sounds super cute, so it's good to know it's launching over here.

  3. Huh, I didn't know Indian summer happened in Ireland, Megan ;) I hope it'll cool down just enough so that you'll feel good, not too cold nor too hot :)
The cover on Wendy Darling is so beautiful! The cover alone is almost enough to make me want to get the book. I hope you'll enjoy it!
Have a wonderful week ahead and happy reading.

  4. Ugh, we're having the same kind of weather here in the Netherlands. It was super foggy when I left for work this morning, but now the sun is out to play and a lot of people have ditched their jackets.

  5. Megan, is it just me or does it seem ridiculous that Twilight is 10 yrs old? It can't be, surely? Gah! That's very depressing. Hope it starts to cool down for you soon.

  7. I'm enjoying the weather that the UK is having at the moment but I do wish we'd had this weather during the summer instead of the beginning of October. I'm ready for Autumn if I'm honest.

I really need to sort out my own blog schedule so I hope mine works out as well as yours.

Thanks for visiting my post earlier :) Have a great week!

  8. It really irritates me when it starts out cold and then is too warm by the end of the day. Hope the weather gets better for you. We're finally getting cooler weather after a too hot September. Glad your blog schedule is working.

  9. I also don't like the too warm or cold weather, we've been having some nice cooler autumn weather this week, which is nice. I am glad your blog schedule is working out! Sounds like it will be a fun and busy week on your blog next week. I hope you'll have a great week!

  10. Weather can definitely be frustrating...and sometimes frightening. I woke up today to the sound of thunder...it was so loud I couldn't possibly go back to sleep. Now it is just raining, which is fine...except there are the occasional booms. LOL.

I'm curious about your new books....enjoy! Thanks for visiting my blog.

  11. Scotland is the same, when I got to work the other day the temperature was just above freezing and then when I left in the afternoon is was 16/17 degrees c! I wish it would make its mind up but it has led to some spectacular sunsets!

    Have a fab week Megan!

  12. I'm not a fan of too hot or too cold either, if I was happy it would be nice and mild 70's all the way around. :) We've got rain and wind the last few days... pretty bleak. Hope your heat dies down a bit...

  13. I would love it to be 70-85 degrees F everyday and rain enough that it avoided drought. This would make my life perfect.

  14. It is neat hearing about your weather..I didn't realize you suffered with Indian Summer as well...it is when everyone gets head colds because we have no idea how to dress!

  15. It sounds like Northern Ireland and Northern Alabama are having the same weather! I bet that doesn't happen very often! I never know how to dress because if I dress for the beginning of the day I'm dying in the afternoon but if I dress for the afternoon I'm freezing in the morning. Layering is getting tricky! I have the Wendy Darling book as well and I'm very excited about it. I haven't read Huntley Fitzpatrick but I've heard great things about her. I hope you enjoy your new books and have a great week!

  17. Ha ha, that is basically the weather we have during the entire month of September here in Upstate New York. This is why I always look forward to October! I love your masthead. The owl is adorable. Everyone seems to have Wendy Darling:Stars on their blogs lately. I am always confused whether it is the first or the second book. I will be back to look at The Review Dilemma, and the Harry Potter tag next week. Have a wonderful week. :)

  19. Hello! New to the blog. Love blog btw. I see you are in the UK and it's cold. Bundle up with a good book that always helps me stay warm and enjoy the cold ^_^! I am excited to check out your week of Celebrations on books. Looks like fun. Well have a great week and Happy Reading!

  20. I know what you mean about the weather! It's crazy, right? I live in Yorkshire, England and it's the same here. Really, REALLY cold fog on the night time (I usually work nights, and it's freezing! The car windows prove it)... but the days? Hot hot hot! Excuse me? Make up your mind Mr. October! he he.
    Have a great week,
    Amy x

  25. I've been seeing Wendy Darling around a lot lately. Peter Pan is my favorite book of all time, so I am always a little skeptical when a new retelling comes out. I'm eager to hear your thoughts on it!

  26. You got our hot weather finally! We just had that a week and a half ago. Sorry but rain is on it's way now ;) You can bitch to Grace at RebelBookMommy for that one, she lives west of me (hahaha)!!

I actually own My Life Next Door in hardback but for the life of me I haven't read it yet! I've heard the follow up wasn't so good (boooo!). That's odd that you're just now getting her books over there. Odder things....

Cheer up... winter is coming! Okay, the holidays are coming!
