Children's Event: Day 2: Review of Moonlight by Jan Ormerod & Giveaway

Hi welcome to day two of my Children's Book Event that runs all of September!

Review of Moonlight by Jan Ormerod & Giveaway

Book: Moonlight
Author: Jan Ormerod
Publisher: Frances Lincoln Children's Books
Pages: 25 pages

Moonlight is a beautifully illustrated book depicting the story of a little girl getting ready for bed but not wanting to go to sleep. The pictures depict her eating her dinner with her parents, getting bathed for bed, putting her dollies to bed, then her getting up a few more times as she doesn't want to go to sleep. It ends with her finally asleep and her parents asleep with her after trying to get her to bed. (I think most parents could relate to this LOL )

What is great about Moonlight is it is a great picture book. So both the parent and the child can describe the story from their own imagination from the pictures even pretending the child is actually them in it. It is great for children to use their imaginations with this book and developing their language skills as well but in a fun way. The pictures are clearly illustrated to follow the story easily and children from 2 and up would enjoy it!

"A great picture book for young children!"

Now for the giveaway! Frances Lincoln Childrens Books have kindly donated a copy of Jan Ormerod other popular picture book Sunshine for a giveaway! To enter fill out the rafflecopter below and yes it is international!

SunshineIt's morning, and the first rays of sunlight shine into a little girl's bedroom, waking her up. She gets out of bed and matter-of-factly starts her day. This award-winning wordless picture book follows the girl as she goes about her morning routine and watches as her parents do the same. She eats cereal, climbs in bed with her parents who read the paper and drink coffee, brushes her teeth, gets dressed, and goes out the door ready for school. Preschool-age children will enjoy providing their own commentary and comparing their personal routine to hers
