Review of Moonlight by Jan Ormerod & Giveaway

Moonlight is a beautifully illustrated book depicting the story of a little girl getting ready for bed but not wanting to go to sleep. The pictures depict her eating her dinner with her parents, getting bathed for bed, putting her dollies to bed, then her getting up a few more times as she doesn't want to go to sleep. It ends with her finally asleep and her parents asleep with her after trying to get her to bed. (I think most parents could relate to this LOL )
What is great about Moonlight is it is a great picture book. So both the parent and the child can describe the story from their own imagination from the pictures even pretending the child is actually them in it. It is great for children to use their imaginations with this book and developing their language skills as well but in a fun way. The pictures are clearly illustrated to follow the story easily and children from 2 and up would enjoy it!

ReplyDeleteWOMBAT DIVINE by Mem Fox is one of my favorite children's books. It is just beautiful.
ReplyDeleteThere were some picture books about Bible stories given to me by my aunt for Christmas when I was five. I remember flipping through "Joseph the Dreamer" and "David" a lot.

ReplyDeleteWould have to recommend 'PANTS' - it is one of the best picture books I've had the pleasure to read - The Kids adore this book and love the silly pictures!!!
